We are pleased to introduce you to Yuma Elementary District One’s newest school, Dorothy Hall Elementary School, home of the Innovators! We are in the southeast region of Yuma, Arizona, and are excited to begin the educational journey with your child.

A Message from Our Principal

Happy February, Innovators!

Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year nominee, Mrs. Evonne Durdovic. Mrs. Durdovic is a dedicated educator who has been a member of the Dorothy Hall team since we opened in 2019. We recognize her efforts to provide her students with a rigorous and innovative learning experience every day. She was selected by her Dorothy Hall colleagues and we are so proud to have her represent our campus! Ms. Reagan Sheppeard is our Outstanding First Year Teacher nominee. We are so blessed she chose to become a teacher.

There is no school on Friday, February 14. Teachers will be participating in our district-wide professional development day. There is also no school on Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents Day.

National School Counseling Week 2025 (#NSCW25) is February 3 through February 7, 2025, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems. The theme is: School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive. National School Counseling Week, presented by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
