We are pleased to introduce you to Yuma Elementary District One’s newest school, Dorothy Hall Elementary School, home of the Innovators! We are in the southeast region of Yuma, Arizona, and are excited to begin the educational journey with your child.

A Message from Our Principal

Hello, Innovators! I can’t believe our school year is already coming to an end! I am so proud of each and every student and how hard they worked to reach their individual goals this school year. All children are capable of success! No exceptions!

As the school year comes to a close, we will be collecting iPads back from students during the week of May 12–16 during library time. All library books were due Friday, May 2. Please make sure that your child does not have an outstanding balance with the cafeteria by Friday, May 16. Payment plans are available. Please contact the office if you need assistance. Students should have all items returned and a zero balance to participate in the end of the year activities such as field trips, water day, etc. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Thank you to all families that participated in District One’s first reunification drill. The event provided valuable training to staff and students, and we hope you found the experience beneficial. By testing our emergency operations plans, we can identify areas in need of improvement. This will help to be better prepared should a true emergency occur.

As I reflect on the last six years, I am overwhelmed with so many emotions. Together we have built a remarkable learning community that strives to provide an exceptional learning experience each and every day. I am so proud of what we do and the things that we have accomplished! I am humbled by the commitment of teachers, staff and parents to our vision of academic excellence! I am truly grateful for the partnership we have with our amazing PTO and the way they support our school! Dorothy Hall will forever hold a special place in my heart! It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve as the first principal of Dorothy Hall. #InnovatorforLife #InnovatorStrong
